Wildfire

Kealan Varek

Wildfire pushes Kealan Varek into his hardest-edged production yet, combining modern pop with distorted electric guitar, dark electronic rhythm and an instantly recognisable guitar-synth hook. The song follows an attraction that begins with one seemingly harmless moment before spreading beyond either person's control. They repeatedly agree to slow things down, make rules and walk away—only to break every promise the moment they're together again. Against the aggressive instrumentation, Kealan retains the smooth melodic vocal character at the heart of his sound, creating a sharp contrast between control and chaos. Urgent, addictive and unapologetically intense, Wildfire captures the kind of chemistry where one spark is enough to burn through every good intention.
