Heartbeat Away

Kealan Varek

Heartbeat Away brings Kealan Varek back into an energetic and flirtatious world, blending modern pop, funk and contemporary R&B around a tightly syncopated groove and addictive chopped-guitar melody. The song captures the charged moment between two people insisting they're taking things slowly even though their body language says otherwise. Kealan's playful vocal moves around the rhythm as glances become touches and the distance between them gradually disappears. Bright, polished and relentlessly catchy, Heartbeat Away turns attraction into rhythm with its defining observation: “You don't have to say you want me—your pulse is giving you away.”
