Island in My Blood

Josiah Rivers

Island in My Blood introduces Josiah Rivers through the foundations of authentic roots reggae: deep melodic bass, one-drop drums, offbeat guitar, warm organ and an unmistakable island groove. Rather than simply celebrating a place, the song explores the deeper meaning of home—the family, lessons, sounds and memories that remain part of you no matter how far life takes you. Josiah's rich male vocal carries a message of identity and resilience through the central refrain, “Island in my blood, rhythm in my bones.” Warm, soulful and proudly rooted in reggae tradition, the track establishes the foundation from which the rest of Josiah Rivers' sound can evolve.
