Where I Belong

Josiah Rivers

Where I Belong finds Josiah Rivers reflecting on a lifetime spent searching for home and discovering that belonging cannot always be found on a map. Blending organic roots reggae with acoustic soul and subtle R&B, the track begins with an intimate fingerpicked guitar melody before opening into warm bass, one-drop rhythm and Josiah's unmistakably deep vocal. Through memories of unfamiliar roads, empty houses, distant horizons and simple moments shared with people he loves, Josiah gradually realises that home isn't necessarily a country, building or destination. It's the place where you're fully known and don't have to pretend. Warm, reflective and deeply human, Where I Belong brings the album toward its final chapter with one simple realization: sometimes the home you've spent years searching for is already with you.
