One More Night in Jamaica

Josiah Rivers

One More Night in Jamaica is Josiah Rivers' first major collision between authentic reggae and euphoric electronic music. Beginning with deep reggae bass, one-drop rhythm, melodica and warm organ, the track tells the story of Josiah's final night on the island before leaving the next morning. As memories of Jamaica's roads, mountains, ocean and people unfold, the production gradually transforms—the song's original melodica motif evolving into a soaring melodic-trance hook over powerful electronic rhythm and Caribbean percussion. Emotional, uplifting and deliberately unconventional, One More Night in Jamaica represents a major step in Josiah Rivers' sound: reggae remains his foundation, but there are no boundaries on where he can take it.
