Sweet Like Summer

Josiah Rivers

Sweet Like Summer captures the intoxicating feeling of meeting someone whose presence seems to change everything around them. Blending upbeat Reggae Pop with Lovers Rock, Caribbean soul and smooth contemporary R&B, the track rides on a thick melodic bassline and instantly recognisable Caribbean-inspired synth hook. Josiah Rivers' deep, warm vocal brings a playful confidence to an addictive chorus built around the simple idea of someone being “sweet like summer.” Romantic, rhythmic and effortlessly feel-good, the track shows Josiah's commercial crossover side while keeping reggae at the heart of its groove.
